- Schedule Mover

- Have Appliances Serviced for New Owners
- Notify of Address Change
- Post Office
- Bank
- Credit Card Companies
- Insurance Companies (medical and auto)
- Automobile/DMV (registration, driver’s license)
- Utility Companies
- Arrange for any refunds, deposits
- Arrange for services at your new home
- Home Delivery Subscriptions
- School(s)
- Doctor(s) (have records forwarded to new doctors)
- Pharmacy (transfer prescriptions)
- Church, Clubs, Civic Organizations
TWO WEEKS BEFORE:
- Arrange for Time Off of Work
- Tune Up Your Car
- Clean out safety deposit box
- Reconfirm mover
ONE WEEK BEFORE:
- Let a Friend/Relative Know Your Plans
- Refill Prescriptions
- Pack Suitcases
- Take Inventory of What Movers are Moving
- Defrost the Freezer
MOVING DAY:
- Pack Valuables Separately and Move Yourself
- Double Check Closets, Attic, Shed
- Leave Keys for New Owners (garage, sheds, mailbox, etc.)
